RACE REPORT BUCKMORE PARK

SUN 2nd APR 2017

A perfect day for karting – sunshine but not too hot.

We entered 11 injured troops in 5 teams (4 x 2 man and 1 x 3 man teams) to make up the grid of 22 teams in this very demanding 6hr race.

This is the first time most of our lads raced at Buckmore Park and, for the Rookies, the first time they competed at this level of competitiveness.

The lads did themselves proud with 2 teams starting in the top 10 and remaining there for the full race.

The difference in fastest lap times from the top team to the last team was only 1.7sec – that’s how competitive it was!

We’ll definitely be coming back for the next 6hr race at Buckmore.

Next race is another huge step up in competitiveness as we take part in the British Prokart Endurance Championship 6hr race at PFi – UK’s “Formula 1” of race tracks.  This will be the first time some of the Rookies get to race in our competition karts             .

We have an excellent team – some have raced for over 6 year… some for around 3yrs… and some joined us last year and this year.

The most successful injured troops in British motorsport aiming to be the first to race in the Le Mans 24hr
